Chap. 1070.—An ACT for the relief of J. T. Bragg, a disabled Confederate
soldier.

Whereas J. T. Braga entered into the service of the Confederate
states at the age of eighteen and continued in the service of the Con-
federacy until the surrender; that he served as a gallant and faithful
soldier; was true and loyal to Virginia, and has since the war been
suffermg from rheumatism and dropsy, the effects of exposure in the
late war: is unable to do anything for the support of himself and his
familv; that he is poor and needy, and should be helped by the state
of Virginia; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if the
above stated facts shall he established by J. T. Bragg before the county
court of his county, and the said court shall certify the same to the
auditor of public accounts, the said auditor shall place the name of
the said J. T. Bragg upon the pension list and pay him annually, after
the first dav of April, nineteen hundred, the sum of ————— dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
