CHAPTER 28

An Act to authorize the Governor to execute, in the name of the Com-
monwealth, a deed conveying unto the Norfolk Yacht and Country
Club certain land in Norfolk, Virginia. i

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. The Governor is hereby authorized to execute and deliver, in the
name of the Commonwealth, a proper deed of conveyance, in form ap-
proved by the Attorney General, under the lesser seal of the Commonwealth,
conveying unto the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, a nonstock, nonprofit
Virginia Corporation, all right, title and interest of the Commonwealth in
and to the following described property, or any part thereof:

All that certain parcel of land lying and being in Norfolk, Virginia,
and more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point where the West Right of Way of Hampton Boule-
vard enters into the waters of the North side of the Lafayette River which
point is coincident with the Southeast corner of the property of the Norfolk
Yacht and Country Club, thence continuing along the Right of Way, S 0°55’
W 62.85 feet to a point; thence N 64°02’30” W 665.34’ to a point; thence
along a curve, with a radius of 370 feet, to the right a distance of 373.59
feet to the southwestern corner of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club;
thence along the present property line of the Club S 27°26’ E 155 feet to
a point; S 29°11’ E 200 feet to a point; S 48°11’ E 55 feet to a point; S
56°41’ E 262 feet to a point; S 39°00’20” E 98.91 feet to the point of begin-
ning, containing 2.731 acres, and as shown on a plat entitled ‘Property To
Be Acquired By The Norfolk Yacht and Country Club” made by Langley
and McDonald, Consulting Engineers, dated October twenty, nineteen hun-
dred sixty-four.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.

the Commonwealth of Virginia, at which the Acts of Assembly herein
printed were enacted, adjourned sine die on December twelfth, nineteen
