CHAPTER 90

An Act to amend and reenact § 238-29, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to what provisions of law govern bond issues by
certain educational institutions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 23-29, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:

§ 23-29. Insofar as the provisions of this chapter are inconsistent
with the provisions of any other law, general or special, or of the charter
or other organic law of any institution, the provisions of this chapter
shall be controlling; provided, that the provisions of § 2-279.1 of Article 2
of Chapter 16 of Title 2 of the Code shall apply to bonds and other evi-
dences of indebtedness heretofore or hereafter issued under this chapter
of Title 23 in any case in which the State Treasurer acted or acts as pay-
ing or fiscal agent of the issuing institution.

An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
