CHAPTER 609

An Act to amend and reenact § 3-525.11 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to excise taxes on certain peanuts.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
om That § 3-525.11 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
_ __§ 8-525.11. There is hereby levied on all peanuts grown in and sold
in this State for processing, beginning with the nineteen hundred * sixty-
four crop, an excise tax of * two cents per hundred pounds; provided that
peanuts sold for seed shall not be subject to such tax, nor shall any peanuts
be subject to such tax after the tax thereon has been once paid.
