An Act to authorize the Governor to convey certain land to the city of
Virginia Beach.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Governor, by deed in form approved by the Attorney Gen-
eral, for and in consideration of certain services to be rendered by the city
of Virginia Beach, is hereby authorized to convey to the city of Virginia
Beach those certain parcels of land at and adjacent to the military reser-
vation at Camp Pendleton, more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL A. Beginning at a point, said point of beginning being described
as follows: Starting at a point designated as Point No. 1 on Sheet No.
1, of a plat entitled “Survey of Physical Features and Boundary I.ines of
Camp Pendleton, Virginia, U. S. Engineer’s Office, Norfolk, Virginia, April
21, 1942, File +#4C4-1-5-222(1)” thence bearing from Point No. 1 South
58° 02’ 53” East 832 feet, more or less, to the above-mentioned point of
beginning; thence from the said point of beginning South 58° 02’ 53” East
127.78 feet to a point; thence South 59° 29’ 25” West 395.69 feet to a point,
the beginning of a curve; thence a distance of 1605.91 feet along the arc
of the curve to the left having a radius of 3790.71 feet to a point of end-
ing of the curve; thence South 35° 13’ 06” West 1216 feet to a point, the
beginning of a curve; thence a distance of 2023.05 feet along the arc of
the curve to the left having a radius of 5700.58 feet to a point of ending
of the curve; thence South 14° 52’ 56” West 75 feet to a point; thence
South 30° 07’ 04” East 88.84 feet to a point on the North right of way
line of Highway 637 ‘(formerly Highway 636) now defined as being 60
feet in width; thence along the North right of way of Highway 637 South
86° 49’ 46” West 347.76 feet to a point; thence North 59° 52’ 56” East
196.62 feet to a point on a curve having a radius of 6115.50 feet; thence
along the arc of said curve to the right a distance of 2170.29 feet to a
point of ending of the curve; thence North 35° 13’ 06” East 1216 feet to
a point, the beginning of a curve; thence a distance of 1652.43 feet along
the arc of the curve to the right having a radius of 3900.71 feet to a point
of ending of the curve; thence North 59° 29’ 25” East 341.78 feet to the
point of beginning, and as is further shown on a plat entitled “Plat of
Proposed 4-Lane Highway through Property of Commonwealth of Vir-
ginia, known as Camp Pendleton, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia,
Parcel A, Langley & McDonald, Consulting Engineers, February 14, 1964.”
PARCEL B. Beginning at a point, said point of beginning being de-
scribed as follows: Starting at a point designated as Point No. 86 on
Sheet No. 2, of a plat entitled “Survey of Physical Features and Boundary
Lines of Camp Pendleton, Virginia, U. S. Engineer’s Office, Norfolk, Vir-
ginia, April 21, 1942, File +:C4-1-5-222(2)” thence bearing from Point
No. 86 South 74° 42’ 37” East 147 feet, more or less, to the above-men-
tioned point of beginning; thence from the said point of beginning South
14° 48’ 36” West 1645 feet, more or less, to a point, which point is the
South boundary of Camp Pendleton property and is the approximate cen-
terline of an existing swamp; thence along the centerline of the existing
swamp in Southeasterly direction 165 feet, more or less, to a point; thence
North 14° 48’ 36” East 1695 feet, more or less, to a point; thence North
74° 42’ 37” West 160 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; and as
is further shown on a plat entitled “Plat of Proposed 4-Lane Highway
through Property of Commonwealth of Virginia known as Camp Pendle-
ton, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Parcel B, Langley & McDonald,
Consulting Engineers, February 14, 1964.”
