CHAPTER 481

An Act to authorize the Board of Visitors of the Medical College of
Virginia and/or the State Hospital Board to sell and convey certain
real estate, with the approval of the Governor, and to provide for
disposition of the proceeds of such sale. [Ht 470)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Subject to the approval of the Governor in writing first ob-
tained, the Board of Visitors of the Medical College of Virginia and/or the
State Hospital Board is hereby empowered to convey by deed, in form
approved by the Attorney General, to the United States Government, for
use by the Veterans Administration, all or any part of whatever interest it
may have in the following described real property :

Beginning at the northwest corner of the intersection of 11th and
Leigh Streets extended, extending northward (N 37° 2’ 40” E) 545.59 feet
to the boundary of the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike right of way,
thence southeasterly (S 15° 00’ E) 211.92 feet to a point on the border of
the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike right of way, thence continuing south-
easterly (S 11° 54’ 20” E) 239.92 feet to a point on the border of the
Richmond Petersburg Turnpike right of way, thence southeasterly (S 11°
50’ 40” E) 285.08 feet to a point on the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike
border, thence southeasterly (S 7° 12’ 40” E) 93.51 feet to a point on the
Richmond Petersburg Turnpike border, thence southeasterly (S 10° 15’ 30”
E) 96.50 feet to a point on the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike right of
way border, thence easterly (S 73° 53’ 30” E) 83.74 feet to a point on the
Richmond Petersburg Turnpike right of way border, thence southerly
(S 4° 29’ 80” W) 297.15 feet to a point on the border of the Richmond
Petersburg Turnpike right of way, thence southerly (S 10° 38’ 30” W)
116.82 feet to a point on the border of the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike
right of way, thence southerly, (S 29° 29’ 30” W) 80.82 feet to a point on
the border of the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike right of way, thence
westerly (N 57° 34’ 50” W) 333.52 feet to the western edge of the curb
of 13th Street, thence northerly along the curb (N 37° 07’ 50” E) 441.46
feet, thence westerly (N 52° 52’ 10” W) 310.27 feet to the eastern line of
12th Street, thence northerly (N 438° 40’ 20” E) 52.92 feet, thence westerly
(N 53° 02’ 20” W) 298.78 feet to a point at the intersection of the eastern
boundary of 11th Street extended and the northern boundary of Leigh
Street extended, thence 65 feet westerly (N 52° 42’ W) to the point of
beginning.

2. All moneys received from the sale of said property shall be paid into
the State treasury.
