CHAPTER 14

An Act to amend and reenact § 58-789.8, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to users of motor vehicles having diesel engines.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 58-739.3, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:

§ 58-739.3. Each user-seller, user or peddler licensed under this
chapter shall keep such records and make such reports to the Division of
Motor Vehicles as shall be prescribed under regulations promulgated by
the Commissioner. Such records and reports shall be such as are adequate
to show all purchases, sales, deliveries and use of fuel by such seller, user
or peddler, provided that persons licensed as users shall file such reports
quarterly. The provisions of this section shall not apply to users whose
use of diesel fuel is limited to private passenger vehicles, subject to being
registered under paragraph (a) (1) of § 46.1-149.
