CHAPTER 86

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a section num-
bered 54-446.1, relating to burden of proof as to certain provisions
under the “Dangerous Drug Law” in Article 5 of Chapter 15 of Title
54 of the Code of Virginia.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a section
numbered 54-446.1 as follows:

§ 54-446.1. In any complaint, warrant or information, and in any
action or proceeding brought for the enforcement of any provision of
this article, it shall not be necessary to negative any exception, excuse,
proviso, or exemption, contained in this article, and the burden of proof
or. any such exception, excuse, proviso or exemption shall be upon the
endant.
