An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
8-185.1, to remove the defense of infancy as to certain “ebte. HT]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
8-135.1 as follows:

§ 8-135.1. If any minor sixteen years of age or over shall procure
a loan upon the representation in writing that the proceeds thereof are
to be expended by such minor to defray any or all expenses incurred by
reason of attendance at an institution of higher education, which has been
approved by Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, or
Western College Association, or The Northwest Association of Secondary
and Higher Schools, or Middle States Association of Colleges and Sec-
ondary Schools, or New England Association of Colleges and Secondary
Schools, or North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools,
such minor shall be liable for the repayment thereof as though he were an
adult, and no plea of infancy shall be allowed.
