CHAPTER 576

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
14-182.1, authorizing certain cities to waive certain fees chargeable
under § 14-132.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
14-132.1 as follows: ;

§ 14-132.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 14-132, in any city
having a population of not less than forty-five thousand nor more than sixty
thousand, according to the last preceding United States Census, the gov-
erning body thereof may, by resolution duly adopted, waive the provisions
of such section, and not charge any fees which go into the city treasury for
services performed hereunder, and direct the court and the clerk thereof not
to tax such fees as costs.

2. Anemergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
