CHAPTER 340
An Act to amend and reenact § 35-8 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
posting certain notice in certain places wherein oxygen consuming
fuels are used for heating bedrooms.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 35-3 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
follows:
§ 35-3. Every owner or proprietor of any hotel, inn, house of private
entertainment, or other house, licensed and kept for the lodging and en-
tertainment of the public in this State wherein * oxygen consuming fuels
are used, in other than a central heating system, for the purpose of *
heating the bedrooms occupied by the guests, shall post conspicuously at
some place on * @ wall of each of such bedrooms a notice in large type, *
and giving directions as to how the same * are to be lighted and extin-
guished. Any such owner, or proprietor, who shall fail to post such
notices as hereinbefore required, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than ten nor more
than one hundred dollars.
