An Act to amend and reenact 8§ 37-84.2:6 and 87-84.2:7 of the Code of
Virginia, relating to method of disposal of surplus property of the
State Hospital Board and disposition of proceeds thereof. “

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That §§ 37-34.2:6 and 37-34.2:7 of the Code of Virginia be amended
and reenacted as follows:
§ 37-34.2:6. The Board shall have the right to reject any and all bids
received either at public auction or through sealed bids when in the
opinion of the Board the price is inadequate in relation to the value of
such property. If the Board deems the bid, in either case, fair and ade-
quate in relation to the value of the property, it may accept such bid and
shall notify the Governor of its acceptance. The deed conveying such
property to the purchaser shall be executed by the State Hospital Board and
shall be in form approved by the Attorney General. The terms of the
conveyance shall be subect to the approval of the Governor in writing.
In lieu of sale of any such property, the Board may, with the approval of
the Governor, lease the same to any responsible person, firm or corporation
on such terms as shall be fair and adequate in relation to the value of sucit
property. The provisions of this article requiring that disposition of such
property shall be through the medium of sealed bids or public auction
shall not apply to any lease thereof. The provisions of §§ 37-34.2:1 through
37-84.2:4 shall apply mutatis mutandis to any proposed lease of any such
property. The deed of lease to such property shall be in a form approved
by the Attorney General and shall be executed by the State Hospital
Board. The terms of any such lease shall be subject to the approval of the
Governor in writing.
§ 37-34.2:7. The proceeds from all such sales or leases shall be paid
into the general fund of the State treasury to be expended as provided by
aw.
