An Act to amend and reenact § 1 of Chapter 280 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1958, approved March 7, 1958, providing for establishment of a
special police force in certain counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 1 of Chapter 230 of the Acts of Assembly of 1958, approved
March 7, 1958, be amended and reenacted as follows:
The governing body of any county which adjoins a city having
a population of more than thirty-five thousand but less than forty thou-
sand and having located therein a Hustings Court, or of any county having
a population of more than sixteen thousand three hundred but less than
seventeen thousand, or of any county having a population of more than
forty thousand and wholly surrounding a city having a population of more
than ninety thousand, shall have the power to establish a police force to be
known as a Special County Police Department.
