CHAPTER 2
An Act to authorize the Virginia State Hospital Board to negotiate with
the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company in regard to the conveyance
of certain real estate now owned by the State Hospital Board and to
authorize the State Hospital Board to convey the same real estate.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of §§ 37-34.2:2 through
37-84.2:7 of the Code of Virginia, the State Hospital Board is authorized
and empowered to negotiate with and, with the written approval of the
Governor, to sell for such consideration and on such terms as it deems best,
and to convey by proper deed executed by its chairman and under its seal,
to the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company, for expansion of its industrial
plant in Marion, Virginia, all the right, title and interest of the Common-
wealth of Virginia and such Board in and to a certain parcel of real estate
described as follows: beginning at a point in the middle of Middle Fork of
Holston River, said point being S 69° 27’W 202.55 feet from a known
corner of Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. property ; thence leaving the river
and for a division line following a proposed river change S 58° 27’W
1059.58 feet to a stake; thence turning to the right with the arc of a curve
165.92 feet to a stake, "said curve having a delta of 80° 37’ and a radius
of 117.92 feet; thence leaving said curve N 41° 06’W 338.20 feet to a point
in the middle of Middle Fork of Holston River and corner to Brunswick-
Balke-Collender property ; thence up said river and with line of Brunswick-
Balke-Collender S 69° 15’E 218 feet to a point; thence N 82° 30’E 200 feet;
thence N 69° 27’E 933.45 feet to the point of beginning; containing 38. 44
acres, more or less, which real estate is the tract of land surveyed July
1959. by Joe T. Gollehon, C. S.
2. All moneys accruing from the sale herein authorized shall be deposited
in the State Treasury to the credit of the General Fund.
3. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
