CHAPTER 139
An Act to authorize the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries to
acquire certain land by purchase or condemnation and to prescribe
procedure in connection therewith. 8 208)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries may acquire land
and structures deemed necessary for its purposes located in Pastures
District, Augusta County, Virginia, described in an option agreement
between North Mountain Brick Company, Incorporated and the Common-
wealth of Virginia dated November 3, 1958 and recorded February 12,
1959 in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Augusta County by
purchase or exercise of the power of eminent domain. Title to land so
acquired shall be in the name of the Commonwealth. In the exercise of
the power of eminent domain granted under this section, the Commission
may proceed in the manner provided by law for the State Highway Com-
missioner in §§ 33-57 through 33-75 of the Code of Virginia.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
