An Act to amend and reenact § 8-257 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
when hearing held on commissioner's report. CH 822]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
Fy That § 8-257 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
._ _§ 8257. A cause may be heard upon a commissioner’s report, after
it shall have been returned ten days; and, if the report be under an order
recommitting a former report, the cause may be heard without waiting
such ten days.

This section shall not apply to the report of a commissioner appointed
to sell property; in such cases the report of such commissioner, when filed
tn the clerk’s office, may be confirmed forthwith.
