CHAPTER 463
An Act to declare certain areas in Princess Anne County to be a wildlife
sanctuary; to prohibit the shooting or discharging of weapons in such
sanctuary and to prescribe penalties for violations. [H 565]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The area within the corporate limits of the city of Virginia
Beach and the area within the subdivisions of North Virginia Beach,
Princess Anne Hills, Cavalier Park, Bay Colony, Birdneck Point, Linlier,
Alanton, North Alanton and Linkhorn Shores in Princess Anne County as
the area of such subdivisions shall appear on plats thereof admitted to
record in the clerk’s office of the Circuit Court of Princess Anne County
is hereby declared to be a wildlife sanctuary.
§ 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or otherwise dis-
charge any rifle, pistol, shotgun, bow, cross bow, sling, air gun, spring
gun or other weapon at, toward or upon any wild animal or bird, or to
otherwise injure or destroy any such wild animal or bird or any nest or
egg thereof within the sanctuary created by § 1 of this Act. Any person
violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
§ 8. The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries may post such
ro ladle provided that signs therefor can be obtained at no cost to the
tate.
