CHAPTER 447

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
18-70.1, to prohibit the malicious injury of any person by means of any
caustic substance or agent, and to provide penalties. [H 580]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
18-70.1 as follows: .

§ 18-70.1. If any person maliciously cause any other person bodily
injury by means of any acid, lye or other caustic substance or agent, he
shall be punished by confinement in the penitentiary for life or any term
not less than one year.
