CHAPTER 438
An Act to prohibit, and provide a penalty for violations, in the counties of
Prince William and Richmond, hunting game with a rifle of a caliber
larger than twenty-two/one-hundredths or with a shotgun loaded with
slugs, and to provide how such prohibition may become effective in
such counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. It shall be unlawful and constitute a misdemeanor for any per-
son to hunt game in the counties of Prince William and Richmond with a
rifle of a caliber larger than twenty-two/one-hundredths or with a shotgun
loaded with slugs. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and punished as provided by law.
§ 2. The provisions of § 1 of this act shall not become effective
within the counties of Prince William or Richmond unless and until the
governing body of the county adopts a resolution declaring that the public
safety requires the same.
