CHAPTER 405

An Act to require the State Library Board to erect an historical marker
for the site of the first commercial peanut crop in America in Sussex

County. [H 416]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

- § 1. The State Library Board is hereby directed to have prepared
and erect prior to January one, nineteen hundred fifty-nine, a marker recit-
ing the historical significance of the first peanut crop raised for commer-
cial purposes in America, in Sussex County, Virginia, in an appropriate
location near the site thereof.
