CHAPTER 327
AN ACT to appropriate funds to reopen and operate State Lime Grinding
Plant No. 2 in the county of Appomattox; and to prescribe conditions
for the expenditure thereof. [S282]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the State
treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of twenty-seven thousand
dollars to be expended for the purpose of reopening, maintaining and
operating State Lime Grinding Plant No. 2 in the county of Appomattox.
This appropriation shall be expended by the Department of Agriculture
and Immigration in the same manner as funds for operating other State
lime grinding plants are expended; provided, however, that no part of this
appropriation shall be expended unless and until the Department of Agri-
culture and Immigration certifies in writing to the Governor that the price
of lime produced by State Lime Grinding Plant No. 2 will be increased by
not less than fifty cents per ton.
2. An emergency exists and this Act is in force from its passage.
