CHAPTER 280
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
15-152.29, to provide that all wharves, piers, docks and certain other
structures shall be included within the boundaries of every county,
city or town, on certain conditions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
15-152.29 as follows:
§ 15-152.29. The boundary of every county, city or town in this State
bordering on Chesapeake Bay or the Atlantic Ocean shall embrace all
wharves, piers, docks and other structures, except bridges not heretofore
lying within the boundaries of said county, city or town that have been
or may hereafter be erected along the waterfront of said county, city or
town, and extending into Chesapeake Bay or the Atlantic Ocean; provided,
however, that only so much of said wharves, piers, docks, or other struc-
tures as lie within the territorial jurisdiction of this State shall be
embraced within the boundary of any county, city or town.
