AN ACT to amend and reenact § 17-216 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to commissioners in chancery for the Court of Law and Chancery

for the city of Roanoke.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

Cs i That § 17-216 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 17-216. The Court of Law and Chancery shall * from time to time,
appoint such commissioners in chancery * as may be deemed necessary for
the convenient dispatch of the business of the court, one of whom shall be
designated as the commissioner of accounts for the court, except that it
shall be permissible for the judge of the Court of Law and Chancery, in
his discretion, to appoint as such commissioner of accounts the same person
who is commissioner of accounts for the Hustings Court.
