AN ACT to affirm and ratify the conveyance of certain State-owned lands
to the United States of America. 8 173

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the General Assembly of Virginia hereby affirm and ratify the
act of the Governor of Virginia in conveying to the United States of
America, by deed dated September 27, 1957, certain lands situate in the
county of Arlington, for purposes of the George Washington Memorial
Parkway, which lands were acquired by the Commonwealth of Virginia,
Department of Highways, pursuant to Item 357, Chapter 708, Acts of As-
sembly of 1954.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
