CHAPTER 22
An Act to authorize the Virginia Truck Experiment Station, with the ap-
proval of the Governor, to lease a certain parcel of land. CH 65]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. The board of directors of the Virginia Truck Experiment Sta-
tion is hereby authorized, with the approval of the Governor in writing
first obtained, to let by lease in form approved by the Attorney General the
following described parcel of land:
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, belonging and situate in
the county of Princess Anne, in the State of Virginia, inning at the
Southwest intersection of the right of way of the Norfolk-Southern Rail-
road and a thirty (30) foot road about eleven hundred (1100) feet in a
southerly direction from Diamond Springs Station on the side of said rail-
road opposite that on which the land herein described is situated, and
running thence along the western side of said thirty (30) foot road S.
60°-30’ E. three hundred forty-eight and four-tenths (848.4) feet to a line
of the property of Beaman; thence along the line of the property of Beaman
S. 47°-32’ W. one hundred sixty-seven (167) feet to a sweet gum tree;
thence N. 12°-5’ W. one hundred ninety and one-tenth (190.1) feet; thence
N. 70°-23’ W. two hundred sixty-three and three-tenths (263.8) feet to a
gum stump; thence N. 68°-44’ W. one hundred eighty-three and seven-
tenths (183.7) feet to the southern line of the right of way of the Norfolk-
Southern Railroad; thence along the southern line of said right of way in
an easterly direction four hundred fifty-seven and six-tenths (457.6) feet
to the point of beginning, containing two and eight-tenths (2.8) acres, more
or less. It being the same property which was conveyed unto Joseph H.
Baker by Atlantic Trust and Security Company by deed dated April 1st,
1933, said deed being duly of record in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit
Court of Princess Anne County, Virginia, and it being further the same
property conveyed by the said Joseph H. Baker to the Princess Anne Sand
Corporation by deed, said deed being duly of record in the Clerk’s Office of
the Circuit Court of Princess Anne County, Virginia.
§ 2. Any lease entered into under the provisions of this act may
contain such conditions relating to the reversion of such parcel of land to
the Virginia Truck Experiment Station as may be agreed to by such
Station and the lessee.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
