CHAPTER 210

An Act to amend and reenact § 16.1-84 of the Code of Virginia, to provide
when certain civil actions and other proceedings returnable to a day on
which the court does not sit shall be deemed matured for hearing.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
ds That § 16.1-84 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as

ollows:

§ 16.1-84. In the event the return day of any * civil action or other
proceeding is a day on which the court does not sit, such * action or proceed-
ing shall not be lost, but shall be deemed matured for hearing or other
disposition by the court on the first day thereafter on which the court sits
for hearing civil actions.
