CHAPTER 140

AN ACT to amend and reenact § 22-166 of the Code of Virginia, re-
lating to applicability of certain laws concerning school property
and school bonds so as to exclude school bonds from the scope thereof.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 22-166 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows: ; ;

§ 22-166. The provisions of this * article, except as provided herein,
shall be applicable to cities and towns in like manner as to the counties
of the Commonwealth and whenever the words “county” or “counties”
are used in this chapter they shall be taken to include cities and towns
unless a different meaning is apparent from the context or unless a dif-
ferent provision for cities or towns is made elsewhere.
