An Act to amend and reenact § 58-792.1, as amended, of the Code of Vir-
ginia, relating to the extension of time for completion of assessments
in certain counties, and to declare an emergency. tH 1

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 58-792.1, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:
§ 58-792.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 58-792, the judge
of the circuit court of any county having a population in excess of two
thousand inhabitants per square mile according to the last United States
census * or of any county having a population of not less than sixty-six
hundred fifty and not more than sixty-seven hundred twenty-five or of
any county having a population of not less than forty-one thousand four
hundred fifty and not more than forty-two thousand may, for good cause
shown, extend the time for completing the reassessment and complying
with the provisions of such section for a period of not exceeding four
months from the thirty-first day of December of the year of such re-
assessment.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
