CHAPTER 704

An Act to authorize the counties of Bedford, Washington, Rockbridge and
Smyth, in connection with the issuance of bonds for school construc-
tion purposes, to exclude therefrom any special town school district

therein.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

. § 1. The counties of Bedford, Washington, Rockbridge and Smyth,
at such time as they may desire to issue bonds for school construction,
and other purposes in connection therewith, may provide that in the vote
thereon the voters of any special town school district in the county which
district is for operation and not representation shall be excluded from the
list of persons eligible to vote on the bond issue. The counties may further
provide that no portion of such bond issue shall be spent for the schools
of any such special town school district.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
