CHAPTER 576
An Act to permit Charles C. Curtis to pay certain funds into the State
treasury and to provide how the same shall be kept. [H 194]

Whereas, Charles C. Curtis, who was formerly the sheriff of the
former county of Elizabeth City, holds the sum of ninety-eight dollars and
twelve cents, being the same money which was taken from two persons
charged with larceny thereof from one W. C. Jones and upon the dis-
appearance of said Jones the prosecution against the persons so charged
was dropped; and
Whereas, Charles C. Curtis holds such sum and the owners thereof
are unknown; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. Charles C. Curtis is directed to pay the sum of ninety-eight dollars
and twelve cents into the State treasury, being a fund which was taken
from persons charged with larceny thereof. The State Treasurer shall
hold such fund in the State treasury for disposition as provided by law.
