AN ACT to amend and reenact § 46-262, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to display of signals when certain vehicles are dis-
abled on a highway. CH 167]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 46-262, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows: ;
§ 46-262. During such time as lights on motor vehicles are not
required red flags not less than twelve inches both in length and width
shall be used in the place of flares, torches, reflectors or lanterns. The
flags shall be placed upon the roadway in the manner above set out for
flares, torches, reflectors and lanterns, except that no flag shall be required
to be placed at the side of such vehicle; but if the disablement of such
vehicles continues into the period when lights on motor vehicles are
remuined. flares, torches, reflectors or lanterns shall be placed as above
