An Act to amend and reenact § 1, as amended, of Chapter 202 of the
Acts of Assembly of 1950, approved March 14, 1950, relating to
squirrel season in certain counties so as to change the season in
certain counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 1, as amended, of Chapter 202 of the Acts of Assembly of
1950, approved March 14, 1950, be amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 1. It shall be lawful to hunt, capture, take and kill squirrels in
the counties of Patrick and Floyd, * during the period beginning Sep-
tember first of each year and extending through January twenty fol-
lowing; provided that in the county of Franklin it shall be lawful to hunt,
capture, take and kill squirrels only during the period beginning Septem-
ber fifteen of each year and extending through January twenty following.
The right of certain persons to hunt squirrels on their own lands shall
not be affected hereby.
§ 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 1 of this act, it shall be
lawful to hunt, capture, take and kill squirrels in the county of Scott
during the period beginning September fifteen of each year and ending
September thirty following and beginning again on the third Monday tn
November and ending on January fifth following.

. Any person hunting, capturing, taking or killing squirrels at
any other time than that herein authorized shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor. ,
