CHAPTER 540

An Act to amend Chapter 130 of the Acts of Assembly of 1942, approved
March 9, 1942, which created the Elizabeth River Tunnel District, by
adding thereto a section numbered 12-a, exempting certain students
from payment of tolls.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 180 of the Acts of Assembly of 1942, approved March
9, 1942, be amended by adding thereto a section numbered 12-a as follows:

§ 12-a. The commission may provide for free use of the project or
any part thereof by any pedestrian, bus or motor vehicle passenger when
such pedestrian or bus or motor vehicle passenger is a student using the
facilities for regular use in going to or returning from immediate atten-
dance upon any State supported educational institution of higher learning
in said district or when such vehicle is carrying any such student.
