AN ACT to amend and reenact § 65-101 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to notice of cancellation of workmen’s compensation insurance
policies.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
a That § 65-101 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 65-101. Every employer subject to this Act shall file with the Com-
mission, in form prescribed by it, annually or as often as may be necessary,
evidence of his compliance with the provisions of § 65-100 and all others
relating thereto. Every employer who has complied with the foregoing
provision and has subsequently cancelled his insurance shall immediately
notify the Industrial Commission of such cancellation, the date thereof and
the reasons therefor; and every insurance carrier shall in like manner
notify the Commission immediately upon the cancellation of any policy
issued by it under the provisions of this Act, except that a carrier need
not set forth its reasons for cancellation unless requested by the Industrial
Commission.
No policy of insurance hereafter issued under the provisions of this
Act shall be cancelled by the insurer issuing such policy except on thirty
days notice to the employer and the Commission, unless said cancellation
ts for nonpayment of premiums; then ten days notice shall be given the
employer and Commission.
