CHAPTER 401
An Act to amend Chapter 175, as amended, of the Acts of Assembly of
1946, approved March 12, 1946, which was continued in force by
§ 15-756 of the Code of Virginia and which provided for water supply
systems in certain counties, by adding a new section numbered 4-a
relating to the refunding of bonds issued pursuant to said Act.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That chapter one hundred seventy-five, as amended, of the Acts of
Assembly of nineteen hundred forty-six, approved March twelve, nineteen
hundred forty-six, which was continued in force by § 15-756 of the Code
of Virginia, be amended by adding thereto a new section numbered 4-a
as follows:
§ 4-a. The moneys raised by the contracting of a loan and the
issuance of bonds for any of the purposes specified in § 2 or § 4 of this
act may, to the extent necessary, be applied to the refunding of the
principal of or interest on all or any part of any outstanding bonds of the
county issued for one or more of such purposes provided the notice of the
election called pursuant to § 2 of this act to take the sense of the qualified
voters of the county on the question whether the Board of Supervisors
shall make such loan and issue such bonds specifies such refunding as one
of the purposes to be financed by the issuance of such bonds.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
