An Act to permit the governing bodies of certain counties to prohibit
hunting in certain places in such counties. CH 219]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The governing body in any county having a population of more
than six thousand six hundred, but not more than six thousand seven
hundred fourteen, and in any county having a population of not less than
eleven thousand nine hundred ten nor more than twelve thousand, or in
any county having a population of more than eleven thousand eight hun-
dred, but not more than eleven thousand nine hundred ten, or in any
county having a population of more than forty-one thousand four hun-
dred fifty, but not more than forty-five thousand, may, by ordinance pro-
hibit hunting or attempting to hunt, with a firearm, any game bird or
game animals while the person so hunting or attempting to hunt is on or
within one hundred yards of any highway in such county which is part
of the State highway system.
