CHAPTER 240

An Act to amend Chapter $44 of the Acts of Assembly of 1982, approved
March 26, 1982, which provided a charter for the town of Scottsville,
by adding a section numbered 18-a, providing for appointment by the
council of a justice of the peace for the town. tH 210}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 344 of the Acts of Assembly of 1932, approved March
26, 1932, be amended by adding a section numbered 18-a as follows:
§18-a. The council may appoint a justice of the peace for the town
with the powers and authority of other justices of the peace.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
