CHAPTER 222
An Act to amend and reenact § 46-416.2 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to revocation of drivers’ licenses under certain circumstances.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. : That § 46-416.2 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 46-416.2. The Commissioner shall forthwith revoke and not there-
after reissue during a period of sixty days the license of any person,
resident or nonresident, upon receipt of a record of his conviction of
reckless driving and of any provision of law establishing the lawful rates
of speed of motor vehicles when the offenses upon which the convictions
are based were committed within a period of twelve consecutive months.
The two offenses for convictions of which suspension of a permit hereunder
can be had must have occurred at separate times. The provisions of §§ 46-59
and 46-425 shall not apply to any person whose license is revoked under
the provisions of this section.
