AN ACT to amend and reenact § 4-5 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
certain prohibited interests of members, officers, agents and em-
ployees of the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. IH. 96]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
an That § 4-5 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 4-5. No member, officer, agent or employee of the Board shall,
directly or indirectly, individually, or as a member of a partnership or of
an association, or as a member or stockholder of a corporation, have any
interest whatsoever in the manufacture of or dealing in alcoholic bever-
ages, or in any enterprise or industry in which alcoholic beverages are
required, or receive any commission or profit whatsoever from or have
any interest whatsoever in the purchase or sale of alcoholic beverages by
the Board or by any other person, or have any interest in or mortgage or
deed of trust on any land or building where alcoholic beverages are manu-
factured for sale, kept for sale, offered for sale or sold, or any personal
property used therein, or in any contract, other than his contract of
employment, made with the Board.
The provisions of this section shall not prevent any member, officer,
agent or employee of the Board from purchasing and keeping in his pos-

session, for the personal use of himself, members of his family or guests,
alcoholie beverages which may be purchased or kept by any person by
virtue of this chapter; nor shall the provisions of this section prevent any
member, officer, agent or employee of the Board from being a member,
stockholder, director, or officer of a club, as defined in § 4-2 (6), licensed
by ie Board to sell alcoholic beverages under the provisions of this
pter.
