An Act to amend and reenact § 27-24 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to the forming of a company for extinguishing fires, so as to impose
certain limits on fire companies using joint facilities. CH 810]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
+4 That § 27-24 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows: ,
§ 27-24. Any number of persons, not less than twenty nor more
than ninety, residing in a county may form themselves into a company
for extinguishing fires. In any county in which two or more companies for
extinguishing fires shall join together and singly use one fire station, the
number of persons in the combined companies shall be not less than
twenty nor more than ninety.
