An Act to amend and reenact § 29-184.1, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to license tax on dogs in certain counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 29.184.1, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:
_§ 29-184.1.—Notwithstanding the provisions of § 29-184, the gov-
erning body of any county containing two cities of the first class and
having a population not exceeding thirty-five thousand, and the governing
body of any county having a population of not less than four thousand
nor more than four thousand five hundred and the governing body of any
county having a population of not less than eighteen thousand nine
hundred nor more than nineteen thousand and the governing body of
any county having a population of not less than six thousand two hundred
fifty nor more than six thousand two hundred ninety-eight may by ordi-
nance provide that the amount of the license tax on dogs in such counties
shall be as follows:
For a male dog, not exceeding two dollars.
For an unsexed female dog, not exceeding two dollars.
For other female dogs, not exceeding five dollars.
