An Act to amend and reenact § 17.22 of Chapter 116 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1948, providing a new charter for the City of
Richmond, relating to appeals from the Board.of Zoning fy ese

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 17.22 of Chapter 116 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1948, be amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 17.22. Appeals From Board of Zoning Appeals. Any person,
firm or corporation, jointly or severally aggrieved or in fact affected by
any decision of the board of zoning appeals, or any officer, department,
board or agency of the city government charged with the enforcement
of any order, requirement or decision of said board, may appeal from
such decision by filing a petition in the law and equity court * of the
city of Richmond, * verified by affidavit, setting forth the alleged illegality
of the action of the board and the grounds thereof. The petition shall be
filed within thirty days from the date of the decision of the board. No
appeal from the decision of the board shall be allowed in any case involv-
ing the same petitioner, principles, property and conditions previously
passed upon by either of such courts.
2. The provisions of this act shall become effective August one, nineteen
hundred fifty-four.
