An Act to amend the Code of Virginia, by adding a section numbered
58-251.1, relating to eligibility for parole of persons sentenced for
combinations of felony and misdemeanor offenses. rH 720}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
§3-251.1 as follows:
§ 53-251.1. Every person convicted of a felony and also convicted
of a misdemeanor and sentenced and committed for the same under the
laws of this Commonwealth or of its political subdivisions shall be eligible
for parole on the combination of said sentences in the same manner as
provided in § 538-251. Provided, however, nothing in this section shall be
construed to require the Division of Corrections to maintain or furnish
any records on misdemeanants or jail prisoners to the State Parole Board
of other body.
