Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

Ls That § 8-49 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 8-49. Every officer who attends a court, shall, * at least once each
week, go to the clerk’s office and receive all process, orders, and decrees
to be executed by him, and give receipts therefor. For any failure so to
do, he shall forfeit fifty dollars.
