CHAPTER 539

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
24-838.1, requiring local electoral boards to forward certain certi-
ficates relative to absentee ballots to the State Board of Elections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
24-338.1 as follows:

§ 24-338.1. The electoral board shall, within ten days after the day
of election, forward to the State Board of Elections a certificate setting
forth the number of persons whose names appear upon each precinct list
required by § 24-338 and also the number of persons whose names appear
upon all such lists for the city or county.
