An Act to authorize the town of La Crosse to sell certain real estate
therein.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The town of La Crosse, by ordinance duly enacted by the
council of the town, may close a portion or all the first alley west of and
parallel to Main Street, being an alley fifteen feet in width, extending
from the Atlantic and Danville Railroad right of way in a southerly
direction approximately 279 feet to the north line of another alley, and
a portion or all of Short Street, being a street 50 feet in width and
extending in a westerly direction from Main Street for a distance of
approximately 125 feet to the aforementioned alley. Where such alley
and street serve no public use, the town of La Crosse may convey all of
its rights, title and interest in such property or any part thereof to such
persons and upon such terms and conditions as the council deems proper.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
