§ 15-615.1. Any city, county or town having matured bonds and
interest coupons thereon, outstanding for a period of more than five years,
may, with the approval of the circuit or corporation court of such county
or city, pay such sums into the treasury of Virginia and if not required
for bond payments and interest, the same shall be credited to the funds
used for the construction and maintenance of roads of the State Highway
System. Such payments shall be accompanied by a statement of the debt

expired. Any bondholder may, within such time, present his claim and
be paid from the funds so set aside.
