CHAPTER 35
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
10-64.1, to prohibit the throwing of certain inflammatory objects
from a vehicle while in or near certain lands; providing penalty for
violation thereof.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
10-64.1, as follows:
§ 10-64.1. It shall be unlawful for any person to throw, toss or
drop from a vehicle moving or standing on a highway any lighted smok-
ing material, lighted match, lighted material of any nature, or any bomb,
device or contraption liable to set fire to inflammable material on the
ground while in or near any forest land, brush land or field containing
inflammable vegetation or trash.
Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by confine-
ment in jail for a period not exceeding thirty days or fined not less than
ten dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or both, for each separate
offense.
