CHAPTER 345

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
46-491.1, relating to the assignment of risks for certain carriers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
46-491.1 as follows:

§ 46-491.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 46-390, the pro-
visions of this chapter relating to assignment of risks shall be available
to carriers by motor vehicle who are required by law or by regulation of
the State Corporation Commission to carry public liability and property
damage insurance for the protection of the public.
