An Act to amend and reenact § 68-35 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to committees advisory to the Director and Board of Welfare and
Institutions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
ls That § 63-35 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 63-35. The Governor may appoint an Advisory Committee on
Corrections, * an Advisory Committee on Public Welfare, and an Advisory
Committee on Youth Services to consist of three members, each who shall
serve at the pleasure of the Governor for terms coincident with that of
the Governor. Such committees shall act in a capacity advisory to the
Director of Welfare and Institutions and to the Board of Welfare and
Institutions on questions and problems relating to institutions of cor-
rection, * public welfare, and youth services, respectively. When requested
by the Director or the Board so to do the committees shall investigate such
questions and consider such problems as may be submitted to them and
shall report their findings and conclusions. The committees may also make
recommendations to the Director and to the Board on their own initiative.
